Benefits of GRP
Lightweight yet strong
GRP is around 75% lighter than steel, but it still provides the strength needed for heavy-duty use in industrial environments.
Non-conductive and fire resistant
Unlike metal alternatives, GRP does not conduct electricity, which makes it safe to use in high-voltage or electrical risk areas.
Corrosion and chemical resistant
GRP does not rust, corrode, or react to common industrial chemicals, making it the perfect choice for marine, water treatment, and chemical plant applications.
UV and weather resistant
GRP is highly resistant to weathering and UV degradation, unlike traditional materials that can rust, rot, or weaken over time.
Cost-effective
GRP is quick and easy to install, which helps to reduce upfront labour costs. It also requires minimal maintenance, making it a cost-effective material choice for industrial environments.
Low maintenance, long lifespan
GRP has a typical service life of over 25 years, and requires very little maintenance compared to steel or timber.
